Dear Parent/Guardian;

We are very pleased to have your child in Truth and Training this year! It is a privilege to work together with you in the spiritual, social and physical training of your child. This letter is designed to give you the information you need to know about our club. If you have additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact me or your child’s leader.

All costs for the club are included in the registration fee. The exception is your child’s shirt, which is $20, if he/she would like one and does not already have one. Jerseys may be distributed at a later date depending on size availability.

About the Truth and Training Program…

Truth and Training is designed for children in grade 3 through grade 6. There are 4 books in Truth and Training. Each book contains sections that your child will complete throughout the year toward earning shares, emblems and awards. 

Handbooks

The book that the T&T clubbers will be doing this year is entitled “Discovery of Grace”. Clubbers are encouraged to move through their handbook at a pace of one section per week. Truth and Trainers must pass a section with no more than 2 helps or prompts. They must say both the reference and the verse. There are also optional silver and gold sections that clubbers may work at throughout the year. Note: your child does not need to do the extra silver and gold sections in order to finish their book. Our first club night this year will be September 28th and we would encourage your child to have section 1.1 done and ready to recite when they come that night.

Please try to find 5 or 10 minutes each day to have your child work on their section and review their memory verses. Even a few minutes a day goes a long way toward building positive habits and helping your child to benefit optimally from the scriptural truths in the curriculum.
